At Nursery 1 (N1), we continue to develop the children holistically through our focus on their sensory and motor skills, language and cognitive skills, social skills as well as creative expression.
N1 children take their first steps in our Brain Training (IQ & EQ) activities conducted by People Impact.
We recognise that each child is unique with their own identity.
The Brain Training activities foster brain development, emotional intelligence, social skills and confidence…
…so as to allow each child to display his or her individual strengths, talents and development areas.
We then build on the children’s individual attributes and enrich their learning experiences through music, art, stories, rhymes, games and manipulative toys.
Teachers guide and motivate our children in their first steps towards greater autonomy and independence.
Through their daily routine and rituals, children learn good habits and self-help skills such as self-feeding, tidying up and clothes changing.
- At Our First Steps, we believe in maintaining small class sizes for better individual care and attention.
- Although MCYS guideline for teacher: child ratio is 1:12, we adopt a lower ratio for our children.
